A bar designed for Paul Smith in the Printemps Department store in Paris.  The theme being “The World” and the aim was to reflect the myriad influences that Paul Smith himself felt and projected in his inimitable and eccentric way in his stores and collections.  The walls were papered with international newspaper pages dated 5 July, Paul Smith’s birthday, and hung with Paul’s choice of framed photographs and pictures.  Furnishings were all bespoke. Tableware, ashtrays, aprons, t-shirts, drink mats and match books were created to continue the themes. Paul Smith accessories, and choice of records, magazines and antiques were sold. 1999.
