A store for Alaïa at 149 Mercer Street, SoHo, New York City.
Our new architectural concept for the Alaia stores worldwide honours the unique universe of the iconic French fashion house, founded by Azzedine Alaia and now under the direction of Pieter Mulier.
The architecture embodies the character and spirit of Alaia and finds the common thread between the past and the present.
The spirit and discretion of haute couture is evoked by the matte, tinted glass that softens the view from the street, and inside by the importance given to the fittings area with its soaring ceiling and semi-circle of mirrors and lights.
